Patricia Hoff, 89, of Wooster, was called home by the Lord, Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at her residence with her family by her side.

Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Monday at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Heil officiating. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Cleveland Massillon Rd., Fairlawn, OH 44333 or to the Alzheimer’s Association at Alzheimers.org.

Patti was born April 27, 1932, in Wooster to Darl L. and Medrith T. {Mann} Walton.

She married Kenneth E. Hoff. He passed away September 1, 2006.

She was a buyer for Freedlander’s for 20 plus years. She worked with her sister, Donna Fetzer, at Donna’s travel agency.  Patti was a wonderful storyteller, telling stories with her sisters Donna and Denna all over the state.  Stories were told to schools and senior citizen groups. Patti was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Wooster, where she worked in the Alter Guild serving as a communion steward, a member of the Church Council, and taught Vacation Bible School and Sunday School. When her boys were young; Patti led a Boy Scout troop. Patti was a member of the Daughters of the Revolution. She was an amazing seamstress; including making a formal wedding dress for her daughter, Kathy, many costumes for her children and grandchildren.  She was an excellent cook and baker, cooking for many events at the church. Patti enjoyed line dancing, performing at various events.

She was the wonderful mother of five children Kathy (Del) Allen of Florida, Susan (John) Beacham of Minnesota, Jeffrey Shamp, Wade Shamp, and Kelly (Jim) McKinley all of Wooster; stepchildren Barb, Mike, Ken II, Phil, Kathy, and Beverly; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and a sister Lynda Meyer.

Patti was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny; stepson Charlie; and siblings Denna Yockey, Donna Fetzer, and her ‘brother’ Billy.
