Walsie Laymon Barnes, 88, of Gore, OK passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 in Muskogee, OK. Walsie was born in Vian, OK on February 17, 1933 the daughter of Emery James and Ora James (Norton). Survivors include her children: Mitchell Laymon, Chuck and Kathy Laymon, Chris and Jeana Laymon of Gore, OK, John and Sandy Laymon of Braggs, OK, Bobby and Donna Laymon of Muskogee, Thomas and Ellen Laymon of Grove, OK and Jeff and Diane Laymon of New Salem, KS; brothers: Richard and Peggy James of Atascadero, CA, Gene and Judy James of Coweta, OK and Donald and Myrna James of Dewey, OK; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Walsie was preceded in death by: her parents Emery and Ora James; husband Johnathan Laymon; husband John Barnes; sisters: Marie, Josephine and Nora; brothers: Luther, Ronald, Roy and Troy. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Gum Springs Cemetery located on OK-10A in Gore, OK. Services in care of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Service.
