Bruno</p> <p> - 11/12/2018</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Anthony Daniel &ldquo;Dan&rdquo; Bruno, of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, 11-22-1927 to 11-12-2018.&nbsp; Beloved husband of the late Angie, nee Alex; loving and devoted &nbsp;father of Charisse; proud godfather and papa of Jeremy Wicklund; loving &ldquo;papa&rdquo; to the Wicklund Family; beloved son of the late Carmen and the late Mary (nee Fasano) Bruno; dear brother of the late Michael (the late Pat) and the late Concetta Bruno; brother-in-law of Nancy (the late James) Alex, Diana (the late Peter) Alex, the late Diane Rombakis, the late Sam and Irene Athan, the late Carl and Alyce McGibany, the late Michael and Katherine Alex.&nbsp; Faithful master to his standard poodles, Schemer and Teddy.&nbsp; Dear uncle and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews.&nbsp; Employee of many years of Bearing Headquarters and Durkee-Atwood Company.</p> <p>&ldquo;Dan&rdquo; was born on November 22, 1927, by a mid-wife in Chicago, Illinois.&nbsp; He attended Our Lady of Pompeii grammar school, where he also was an alter boy, and graduated from Crane Tech.&nbsp; During high school he worked at Salerno Butter Cookie Company, where he met his future wife, Angie.&nbsp; He was a WWII veteran, serving in the Air Force, being honorably discharged after the end of the war.</p> <p>&nbsp;Visitation Sunday Nov 18, 2018 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Steuerle Funeral Home 350 S. Ardmore Ave, Villa Park, IL In state Monday Nov 19, 2018 10:30 a.m. until Mass time 11:00 a.m. at Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii 1224 W. Lexington Street, Chicago, IL 60607 Interment Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials to The Buddy Foundation, 65 W.
