Roger H. Roehrborn Obituary

Roger H. Roehrborn, 74, Marshfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Marshfield Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield with Rev. Barry Saylor officiating. The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Columbarium, Marshfield where military rites will be conducted . Visitation will take place from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a Knights of Columbus rosary at 6:30 pm on Friday, October 15 at Rembs Funeral Home and from 10:00 am until service time on Saturday at the church. Roger was born on November 7, 1946 in Marshfield to Harvey and Edith (Meyer) Roehrborn. He graduated from Marshfield High School in 1964. He later enlisted in the United States Navy from 1966-1970 and served on the USS Henry B Wilson (DDG-7) during the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Ellen Fraker on January 9, 1971 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Florence, Wisconsin. He worked for Marshfield Homes, Stratford Plumbing, and Reigel Plumbing in the later years until his retirement. Roger was a hard worker and loyal friend. He was a loving father and always supported his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, playing cards, Cribbage, berry picking, going out to breakfast with friends and family, and spending time with his grandkids. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Ellen and seven children; Katie (Charles) Malovrh, Roger T. (Abbi) Roehrborn, William Roehrborn, Justin Roehrborn, Patrick (Kimmi) Roehrborn, Morgan (Amber) Roehrborn, and Elizabeth Roehrborn. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; Brenna (Erik) Haferman, Rhianna and Nicholas Malovrh, Luke and Zack Roehrborn, Zoey Roehrborn, Kealai and Kamarina Taisacan, Piper and Logan Roehrborn, Rosie and Aviah Washington, and Ila Roehrborn, and four great grandchildren; Henry, Violet, and Theodore Haferman, and Nani Taisacan. He is further survived by his sister, Cheryl (Peter) Huser. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas Roehrborn. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Marshfield Medical Center Critical Care Unit.
