Pembroke – Brian E. Priest, 67, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 10, 2021 at his home in Pembroke. Brian was born in Bangor on December 28, 1953, son of Percy and Dorothy (Seymour) Priest. After graduating from Pembroke High School, Brian went to WCVTI, earning his degree in automotive. Brian will be remembered for his hard work and dedication. He started working while in Grammar School, helping Weston Moore deliver glass jugs of milk. After earning his degree, he started working for Brown’s Trucking hauling wood and making roads. In the mid 1980’s, Brian purchased Down East Mobile Station in Pembroke which became known as “The Town Office”. After losing the business to a fire in December, 1997, he became the shop manager for Loring’s Auto Body in Perry until starting his own business in 2011, Priest Automotive and Body Shop. My dearest Brian, you were my best friend and my husband of almost 31 years. You will be forever in my heart and on my mind. Save a place for me. Until we meet again my love. Your wife, Lisa C. Priest. My grandfather was the kindest, smartest, hardest working person anyone could get to know. He loved me and all his children and grandchildren with his whole heart, may his larger-than-life personality be an inspiration to us all, we will never forget you Bampie. Your loving grandson, Jordan Griffin. Brian was a black belt in karate, earning numerous trophies, and enjoyed teaching karate classes. He loved riding his John Deere tractor and spending quality time with his grandson Jordan, who was like a son to him. In addition to his parents, Brian was predeceased by two cousins, Gary and Craig Johnston. Surviving are his wife of nearly 31 years, Lisa (Beal) Priest of Pembroke; four children, Ryan Priest and wife Sabrina of Dennysville, Lisa Leighton and husband Chris of Edmunds Twp, Angela Francis of Pembroke, and Brenda Francis Quimby and husband Justen of South China; nine grandchildren, Eric, Kodie and Brianna Priest, Kelly, Wyatt and Samantha Leighton, Jordan Griffin, Kitana Evans and Evan Quimby; two sisters, Valerie Patch and husband Richard of Bangor, and Rhonda Stevens and husband Travis of Pembroke; and nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Visiting hours will be held 12 noon until 2 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. at Clarkside Cemetery in Pembroke.
