Nunzi A. Luzzi, 88, of Renaissance, Manchester, died Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, with his wife by his side. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Hudson & Bergen Counties for 67 years before moving to Manchester in 2000. He served in the US Army from 1953-1955. Nunzi was a self-employed landscaper for over 25 years before retiring in 2000. He also provided airport transportation with his private car service and always had refreshments for his passengers. Nunzi enjoyed horse racing & OTB, working outside & landscaping his yard, his mancave garage, bowling, talking with & harassing his neighbors & friends and enjoyed interacting with his companion, Pepe, the cockatiel. Nunzi married the love of his life, Joann Ferraro, in April 1964, and they were married over 57 years. He was predeceased by his parents: Frank & Irene Luzzi; sisters: Rose McLean & Frances Garreffa; and brother: Thomas Luzzi. He is survived by his loving wife, Joann; and many close friends & neighbors. Memorial Gathering is Saturday, October 23, from 1-3pm with a service at 2pm, at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester.
