<p>Mr. Weldon Webster, age 87, of Newborn passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021.&nbsp; He was born December 14, 1933 in Old Hickory, Tennessee to John Dewey and Nancy Webster who have preceded him in death.&nbsp; Mr. Webster grew up in Old Hickory and graduated from Dupont High School.&nbsp; He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and attended Vanderbilt University until he began his career at IBM.&nbsp; Mr. Webster enjoyed tinkering with electronics and could fix just about anything.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Webster.&nbsp; He is survived by his children, John Webster (Patricia) of Newborn, Donnie Webster (Terri) of Covington, and Fay White of Covington; he is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of other family and close friends.&nbsp;</p> <p>Funeral services for Mr. Webster will be held at 11 o&rsquo;clock Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son with Mr. Jim Nash officiating.&nbsp; Interment will follow at New Covington Cemetery.&nbsp; The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, October 15, 2021.&nbsp; J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, TE Davis Funeral Services, 2157 East Street, SE, Covington, GA&nbsp; 30014.</p> <p>As of April 8, 2021, Governor Brian Kemp has lifted the restrictions for large gatherings and other recommendations throughout Georgia.&nbsp; However, we ask that you still be respectful of the family and others during this time. If you are sick, not feeling well, or have any symptoms of COVID 19, please do not attend the service or services.&nbsp; If you feel the need to wear a mask, please do so.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
