Alyce Jo Whitmer

Alyce Jo Evans Whitmer, age 86, passed away on October 4, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones. She was a native of Safford, AZ, but had resided in the Sacramento area for the past 55 years. She is preceded in death by her husband David Keith Whitmer and her daughters Jennifer and Anita. She is survived by her daughters Melanie (Jeff) Parsons, Cheryl Sedgwick (Carol), and Gayle (Paul) Warren. She was the loving grandmother of Britta, Bridget, Brandon, Brooke, Brian, Brad, Jacob, Hayley, Ashley, Benjamin, Emily, Lisa and Spencer and 23 beautiful great grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker as well as office manager for her husband’s counseling practice. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent much of her life in service to others. She had many talents and enjoyed a wide variety of interests.  Some of her favorite time was spent sewing, reading, baking, camping (motorhome style), canoeing, and visiting with family and friends. Friends are invited to attend services Friday, October 22, 2021, at 10AM at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS (8925 Vintage Park Dr., Sacramento). Interment following the service at Fair Oaks Cemetery.
