Ronnie W. “Ron” Parker<br>Ronnie William “Ron” Parker, 73, of Palatka, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Putnam Community Medical Center. He was a native of Jacksonville, FL and had lived in Putnam County for many years. Ron served in the US Army for 9 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a skilled carpenter and was the owner and operator of Parker Construction. Ron was also a licensed captain and guided many folks down the St. Johns River. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family. He was affectionately known as the family jokester and his sense of humor will be greatly missed.<br>He is preceded in death by his parents, J. W. and Wilma Parker, 2 brothers and a sister.<br>He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathleen Kelly Parker of Palatka, daughters, Jennifer Barker (Dennis) and Janeen Ball (Wes) both of California, and grandchildren, Patrick Linton, Isabel Colmenero, Brigida Barker, Ellis Ball and Lillian Ball.<br>In keeping Ron’s wishes, no services are scheduled.<br>Memories and condolences may be expressed to the family at Ron’s Book of Memories page at www.johnsonoverturffunerals.com .<br>Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.<br>
