Cecil Edward Wilson, age 93, of Long Beach entered into the golden gates of Heaven on October 9, 2021. His family was by his side. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.

Cecil was born April 6, 1928. He is the son of the late Homer and Leona Wilson.

Cecil Wilson’s wife is the late Bernice Wilson who passed away on September 3, 2020.

He is survived by his daughters, Susan Bailey Lyon, Dianna Leger, and Sharon (Mark) Hasselman, all from Long Beach; grandchildren, Christopher Lyon (Kerry), Melissa Allen (Casey), Tonya Ortega (Anthony), Sherry Freeman (Bryan), Stacie Faulk (Chris), Matthew Hasselman (Laura); great grandchildren, Hunter Lyon, Harper Lyon, Luke Allen, Mason Allen, Dianna Williams, JD Durham, Cameron Durham, Brent Notter, Tyler Notter, Landon Freeman, Emma McCollough, Claire McCollough, and Melody Hasselman.

Cecil was an outdoorsman. He loves fishing, mowing the grass with his tractor, and he has a “magical” green thumb. He lived and enjoyed life to the fullest and was an avid Saints fan.

There will be “Celebration of Life” on Monday October 11, 2021 at 18250 Commission Rd., Long Beach from 1:00pm – 3:00pm.
