Mark L. Sacco Ogden, Utah Obituary

Mark L. Sacco

Mark L. Sacco

1963 - 2021

Mark Lawrence Sacco passed away surrounded by his loving wife and daughters after a long, valiant battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born in Ogden, UT, on December 18th, 1963, to Hugh and Sheran Sacco of Uintah, UT. He attended Bonneville High School, Class of 82’, where he excelled in trouble making and shenanigans with his buddies, but most of all it is where he met the love of his life of 38 years, Tammy Robinson. They were married on March 12, 1983. Together they have two daughters, Felicia and Cassandra, who were his pride and joy. They were later sealed as a family on October 23, 1990, in the Ogden Temple. He has been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and found great joy in serving, especially his last few years where he dedicated most of his time giving service to his neighbors, friends, and family.

Dry humor and loud voice, once you met Mark you became a friend. Dad loved the outdoors and hunting, he was an adrenaline junky, master chef, travel expert, and a fan of TV talent shows. His favorite hobby was spending time with his 13 grandchildren. They truly brightened each day and filled his life with love and laughter. He began working at a very young age at Sacco’s Produce and after many years at Smiths Food and Drug, he followed his passion for cooking and shared his love of food with everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife Tammy, his two daughters Felicia (Terry) Rhodes of West Valley and Cassandra (Chad) Hill of Eden, 13 Grandchildren: Anton, Bryxton, Devon, Kaleb, Carson, Jack, Landon, Maliaha, Asher, Preslee, Lydia, Scarlet, and Jordan; Siblings, Hugh (Wendy) Sacco of Hooper, Connie Lewis of Uintah, and Chris (Monica) Sacco of Morgan. He is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Hugh and Sheran Sacco, his Father-in-Law Gerald Robinson and all his Grandparents.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Uintah 1st Ward Chapel, 6660 South 1775 East, Uintah, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held at the same chapel on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, from 6 to 8 pm and on Wednesday prior to the funeral from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment will follow at the Uintah City Cemetery.

We want to thank the wonderful nursing and care staff at McKay-Dee Hospital and Intermountain Hospice, his longtime physicians and staff, and his MS support group. In lieu of flowers we ask that you donate to the www.nationalmssociety.org to help fight and find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.

Daddy, we will forever hear you singing:

Scumbuckets, the prettiest girls in town

Scumbuckets, always have a smile never have a frown

Scumbuckets, I love you can’t you see

Scumbuckets, you mean the world to me

Multiple Sclerosis may have taken our daddy’s body, but it could never take his adventurous spirit.

Love, Your Scumbuckets

Mark's funeral service will be available to watch online. To view the service, go to www.myers-mortuary.com and pull up Mark's obituary and scroll down to the bottom of the page. I had the opportunity of working with Mark at Chancellor Gardens.
He was so fun to work with.
I enjoyed his sense of humor.
He had mentioned how he lived The Year Without a Santa Claus so I bought it for him to enjoy.
Ill never forget that he came to my husbands view...
