John J Meissner

<p>John Joseph Meissner passed away Oct 7, 2021.&nbsp;</p> <p>John was born July 9, 1960 in Gray&#39;s Lake, IL to Cary and Elaine Meissner. In 1978, he moved to northern WI bringing with him his love of the Bears.&nbsp; He initially worked at Frigo Cheese in Lena as an award making cheesemaker.&nbsp;</p> <p>While there he met the love of his life, Renee.&nbsp; Together they had 2 amazing children, Joshua (Jodi) Meissner of Cameron, WI and Kimberly (Joseph) Horsch. John adored his 5 beautiful grandsons, Max, Henry, Riley, Benjamin, and Devin.&nbsp;</p> <p>In 1986, he suffered a paralyzing car crash. As a result he went to college finding a love and passion for helping people. He has spent his career working for Options for Independent Living assisting individuals throughout the Wisconsin Region earning awards and assisting legislature to enhance passenger disability services.&nbsp;</p> <p>In addition to his family listed above he is further survived by his father, Cary Meissner, siblings Walter (Pam) Wardzala, Leisa Idstein, Mary Brown, Mike (Kat) Meissner. Siblings in law, Roger R. Bitters, Randal Bitters (Dan Ernst), Roseann (Tom) Stenstrup, Risa (Goody) Goodwin and Roni Sue (James) Sharkey. Numerous neices and nephew and cousins.</p> <p>In heaven, John will be reunited with his grandparents, mother Elaine, Father and Mother in Law, Roger and Rita Bitters, brother and sister in law (Russ and Robin).</p>

John Joseph Meissner passed away Oct 7, 2021. 

John was born July 9, 1960 in Gray's Lake, IL to Cary and Elaine Meissner. In 1978, he moved to northern WI bringing with him his love of the Bears.  He initially worked at Frigo Cheese in Lena as an award making cheesemaker. 

While there he met the love of his life, Renee.  Together they had 2 amazing children, Joshua (Jodi) Meissner of Cameron, WI and Kimberly (Joseph) Horsch. John adored his 5 beautiful grandsons, Max, Henry, Riley, Benjamin, and Devin.
