James "Jimmy" Lamb

James "Jimmy" Lamb, age 67, of Caldwell County, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at Baptist Health of Madisonville. He was born on December 26, 1953 in Caldwell County to his late father, Thomas Edward Lamb and late mother, Nancy Carol Riddle Baker. In July 15, 1994 he married the late Delores "Dee" Marie Sutton Lamb which passed away August 7, 2021. Jimmy was a retired veteran, where he served in the United States Army as an airborne ranger, after which, he finished out his remaining fifteen years with the United States Army Reserve. After his military career, he retired as a Senior Captain at the Kentucky State Penitentiary for twenty years. In his final stages of his career, he served five years as a Deputy Chief for the Crittenden County Jail. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR spending time in the woods and keeping a pristine lawn. He is survived by one son, Michael (Beth) Lamb of Madisonville; three daughters, Cherie Rose of Princeton, Rachel (Rene) Gotiear of Oklahoma, Melissa Haberstick of Paducah; one sister, Tammy (Jack) Fields of Palm Coast, FL; three brothers, Billy Lamb of Kuttawa, Ricky (Donna) Lamb of Litchfield and Wayne Baker of Princeton; grandchildren, Chyna Pryor, Sha'Lea Haverstick, Amanda Torres, Baron Fritts, Tashela East and Josh Fraliex, several more; and several great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Mike Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosebud Cemetery in Marion. You may light a candle or leave a message for the family at www.morgansfuneralhome.com.
