<p>Cecil McCarty</p> <p>Cecil McCarty of Saluda, SC, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021, at 89 years old.&nbsp; He was the son of George Ballenger McCarty and Mary Lee Mack McCarty.&nbsp;</p> <p>He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather with a rich southern drawl and quick chuckle. After retirement from the Ninety-Six Mills, he spent many days as an adventurous treasure hunter with his great-grandsons.&nbsp; Papa loved to search for rocks down long dusty dirt roads, fishing for crawdads, and digging doodlebugs.&nbsp; Anyone that would listen knew of his pride and the joy of his family.</p> <p>He is survived by his daughters, Lynne (Steve) McCormick and Theresa (Dean) Craps, both of Leesville, SC; his grandchildren, Tim (Jessica) McCormick, Brandon McCormick, Amanda Vidal, Kelli (Rob) DeBoer, and Dennis (Nicole) Crepes; and great-grandsons, Bryson, Braeden, Britton, and Ethan.&nbsp; He is also survived by his brother Don (Norma) McCarty and sister Catherine McCarty.</p> <p>He was predeceased by his wife, Judith Annette Trotter McCarty; brothers Ira James McCarty, Harold McCarty, Floyd McCarty; and sister Ruby Maroney.</p> <p>Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel.&nbsp; The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.&nbsp; Memorials may be made to Red Bank Baptist Church, 309 E Church St, Saluda, SC 29138.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Cecil McCarty

Cecil McCarty of Saluda, SC, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021, at 89 years old.  He was the son of George Ballenger McCarty and Mary Lee Mack McCarty. 

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather with a rich southern drawl and quick chuckle.
