Dorathy “Dawn” Schaible of Westminster, MD, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the age of 85. Dorathy Schaible was born on November 26, 1935.

She is predeceased by her parents, Pearl and Vincent Siacco and her half-sister, Vivian Swope. She is survived by her spouse of 34 years, Mark Schaible; her children, Cheryl “Bunny” Hellman, John Robert Culleton, III and his wife Kathy, Judith Anne Stambaugh and her husband Charles, Margaret “Margo” Miller and her husband Joe; her 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and their dog Sadie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and beloved cousins.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She never met a mystery book she didn’t like. She enjoyed going on vacations, bowling and having her family over for family gatherings. She worked for Hutzler’s, the City of Baltimore, the Arthritis Foundation and owned a women’s clothing boutique called Hidden Pearl.  Dawn was a devoted daughter and took care of her mother for many years until her mom passed in 2007.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 91 Willis Street, Westminster (21157) where catholic prayer will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening. A funeral service will be held Noon, Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the funeral home and the family will receive from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered in Mrs. Schaible’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1850-D York Road, Lutherville-Timonium, MD 21093, the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 At, Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the Dove House, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
