Avis Hamilton, a 86 year old former Trenton resident passed away at 3:41 p.m., Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Northcare Hospice House in Kansas City.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.  A visitation is scheduled from 1:00 until service time Wednesday.  Memorial donations are suggested to the North 65 Senior Center and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Avis Joan Hamilton was born May 27, 1935 in Spickard, MO to Oran and Vernice (McQuerry) DeWalt.  She attended Norton and Spickard schools. On February 18, 1952 she was united in marriage to Bennie Hamilton in Spickard.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #31 in Trenton.

Surviving relatives include her husband Bennie of Chillicothe, Son Raymond Hamilton and wife Paula of Brookfield, MO, daughter Tammy Little and husband Steve of Ottawa, KS, grandchildren; Bennie Lee Hamilton and fiance Cassie Sallaz of Brookfield, MO, Rosanne Hamilton of Fort Madison, IA, Michael Hamilton and wife Danielle of Brunswick, MO, Dedra Schulte and husband Cory of Lake St. Louis, MO, Ryan Clark and wife Stacey of Rothville, MO, Natalie Devin of Pomona, KS, and Chris Little of NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Clarabelle Binder and a daughter Gloria Rose Hamilton.
