Amadio Guido “Ty” Virgili, age 62, of South River, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday October 8, 2021. Born in New Brunswick, he was a lifelong borough resident of South River. Mr. Virgili worked as a truck driver for many years. Amadio was a kind soul who enjoyed taking his mom for a ride anywhere she wanted to go. He was the best brother and uncle anyone could ask for. Ty was a loving son, brother, uncle, Godfather, friend and so much more. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He is predeceased by his father Amadio W. Virgili as well as his brother-in-law Dennis McKim. He is survived by his mother Mary Virgili as well as his siblings and their spouses Marisa & Ray Vanhorn, Doreen & Joseph Hamelin, Anna & Jimmy Ayres, Julie McKim and Susan Makely & her partner Marc Lang, his nieces and nephews Michael, Matthew, Mikayla, Joseph, Sarah, Jaquelyn, Dennis, Natalie, Veronica, Morgan, John & Lucille as well as his friend Al and many loving cousins, friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be Thursday 10am at the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Ave South River with a burial to follow at Washington Monumental Cemetery in South River. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm. Please note that masks are required in the funeral home, regardless of vaccination status. Thank you for your cooperation.
