Mary Louise (Hamilton) Cole, age 87, of Monroe, beloved wife of Leland Cole, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021. Mrs. Cole was born August 15, 1934, in Bridgeport, daughter of the late George and Emily Hamilton and had been a lifelong area resident. Mary enjoyed reading, country drives to the beach, bird watching, dancing, being pampered at her hair salon and spending time with her beloved family. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include her son Michael Cole and his wife Roseanne Cole; her three granddaughters, Michelle Cole, Megan (Cole) Hite and her husband Keith Hite, Melissa (Cole) Freitas her husband Jared Freitas; her great grandchildren, Alexa Hite, Aubree Hite and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Rosemarie (Cole) Greenberg. Friends are invited to attend her funeral service celebrated by Deacon John Piatak on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford. Interment will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may visit with her family on Wednesday, before service time from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
