Richard D. Boudreau

Richard D. Boudreau, 67, of Simsbury, beloved husband of Loren (Buckley) Boudreau, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at his home surrounded by family after a 23 year journey with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born January 15, 1954 in Hartford, son of the late Edward D. and Margaret (Murphy) Boudreau. He grew up in Bloomfield before settling in Simsbury 38 years ago. Rich was in computer insurance automations, owned and operated Pinnacle Network and got his start at Nationwide Insurance and Agency Management System. Rich was an avid golfer and had the opportunity to play across the US. He got the most joy out of teaching and playing with his youngest daughter. He was an experienced traveler, having gone to all 50 states and racking up 2 million miles on Delta. He was a lifelong sports enthusiast for the Red Sox and Celtics. Rich was the biggest cheerleader for both of his daughters and enjoyed photographing their sporting events. He grew up snowmobiling and boating with his brothers in Maine and especially loved spending time with their families in the house they built with their father. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. In addition to his loving wife of 36 years, he is survived by his daughters, Lindsey Boudreau and her husband Alex Khan of Hartford and Kylie Boudreau of West Hartford; his brothers, Edward D. Boudreau and wife Susan, Kenneth D. Boudreau and Donald D. Boudreau and wife Jennifer; brother-in-law Ross Buckley as well as nieces and nephews: Kristen, Michael, Kellan, Maggie, Thomas, Meagan and Patrick. The family would like to especially thank Rich’s devoted caregiver, Deb Sterling, for her compassion and friendship as well as the aides and nurses at Beacon Hospice. The family is also grateful for the love and support from their many friends over the years. His family will receive friends at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Thursday, October 14th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of his life will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 15th. Donations in his memory may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, P. O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or to Northwest Catholic High School, 29 Wampanoag Drive, West Hartford, CT 06117.
