Richard H. Meyer, 91 passed away on Friday October 8th at his home in Schenectady surrounded by family.<br><br>Born and educated in Schenectady, Richard was the son of the late Harry and Beatrice (Duffany) Meyer and attended Mont Pleasant High School.<br><br>A lifelong carpenter, Richard retired in 1992 from Rosch Brothers, Inc in Latham as a carpenter superintendent after over 40 years of service. A US Army Veteran, Richard served in the 82nd Airborne from 1951-1953.<br><br>A member of Local 291 of the Carpenter’s Union since 1948, Richard enjoyed traveling, camping with his RV, boating, motorcycling and spending his time with his family and friends.<br><br>Predeceased in 2011 by his beloved wife of 57 years Rose Corini Meyer. Richard is survived by his children Jeffery Meyer (Bernadette) of Brattleboro, VT, James Meyer (Blanca) of Livingston, Texas, Richard Meyer (Tammy) 0f Princetown and Patricia Zepperi (Henry) of Schenectady, his brother’s Bernard Meyer of MA and Douglas Meyer of Fl and a sister Elaine McNeff of Latham. Richard is also survived by his nine granddaughters, Cassandra, Cathryn, Christine, Melinda, Colleen, Jennifer, Lisa, Ashley and Rosalie, his 10 great grandchildren, Dominic, Theodore, Gianna, Luca, Ryan, Maya, Anna, Corina, Miles and Estelle and his many nieces and nephews.<br><br>A celebration of Richard’s life will be held on Friday October 22, 2021 at 10:30 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to the services. <br><br>Interment with military honors will be held at 12:30 pm at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.<br><br>In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Richard’s memory to Community Hospice.<br><br>
