Laura Jayne Hylbert, 62, of Georgetown, died October 7, 2021. She was born March 21, 1959, in Madison, West Virginia, daughter of Robert Marshall Hylbert and Beatrice K. Adkins Hylbert. Laura was a graduate of Sussex Central High School. She worked her way through college and graduated with honors from James Madison University. She was one of the first woman lifeguards for the town of Rehoboth Beach. She was hard-working and family-oriented. She loved to read and was an excellent cook and baker. She spent her career in management and accounting for companies in Delaware, Maryland, and West Virginia. She co-founded a direct mail business in Huntington, West Virginia, where she lived for ten years. She also was a partner with her husband in a stock trading services business in the 2000s. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Milstead of Georgetown, formerly of Paulsboro, NJ. She is survived by her parents, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Maria Llanto Hylbert, Matthew and Betty McFalls Hylbert; sister, Dawn Hylbert; her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Linda Stewart; grandsons, Alex Stewart and Jonathon Virgin; and many nieces and nephews. All services will be private.
