Deborah Ann Nugent-Nikosey, 65, of Forked River passed away on October 7, 2021 at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin. She was born to Arthur and Unni Grant in Brooklyn, NY where she was raised until she moved to Beachwood, NJ. Since 2001, Debbie resided in Forked River. She was the first to volunteer and the last to leave. She had warmth about her that drew people to her gregarious personality. Debbie was the past President of the Toms River Angels Cheer Association, former President of the Lanoka Harbor Volunteer Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary and long-time dance costume seamstress for the Lillian Dean Dance Studio. Her grandchildren were her life. Her teacup Yorkshire Terriers, Abby and Milo, came in a close second.   Debbie was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Nikosey and brother, Gary Grant. She is survived by her husband, Michael Nugent, daughter Kimi Nikosey and her fiancé Jimmy Andrews and the “lights of her life,” her grandchildren, Susan and Nikki Andrews. She is also survived by her brother, Arthur Grant.  A Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 2:00-5:00 pm and on Monday from 10:00-10:30 am at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Rt. 9, Forked River, NJ 08731. A Funeral Service will be offered at 10:30 am followed by interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery & Mausoleum, Toms River.
