Greg Obituary

On October 4, 2021, Pastor Gregory Paul Niver, 54, walked hand-in-hand with Jesus into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Born October 15, 1966, in Bradford, PA, he was the son of Dorothy (Hinman) Niver and the late Roland L. Niver. His mother survives. On May 24, 1999, he married Vicki (Valerius) Niver in Port Allegany, PA. She survives. Greg was a faithful servant of God and it was evident in his words, actions, and love. He served his God as the minister of the Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene in DuBois. Along with his love for our Heavenly Father, he also loved his beautiful wife, children, grandchildren, and all of the extra kids that called him “dad” throughout the years. Greg was a very devoted and amazing husband and enjoyed all the adventures he took with his wife and kids. He absolutely loved spending all of his free time with his grandbabies spoiling, wrestling, and making messy memories. Greg graduated from Bradford high School and Nazarene Bible College. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his service to the Emanuel Church of the Nazarene, he was a school bus driver in DuBois. He enjoyed camping, golfing, woodworking, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. In addition to his wife, Greg is survived by 6 children, Amanda (Michael Reid Jr.) Harris, Arcade, NY, Nathanael P. Niver, Eldred, PA, Brenda (Christopher) Conkey, Allegany, NY, Lynsie (Matthew Crowl) Niver, Corry, PA, Sarah (Hickory) Dibble, Bradford, PA, and Gregory S. Niver, DuBois; eight grandchildren, Alexis, Jackson, Keigan, Aubrianna, Skyler, Kolin, Aliza Mae, and Michael III; five siblings, Marilyn Compton, Mt. Jewett, PA, Lois Niver, Mt. Jewett, Danny (Deb) Niver, Lawton, OK, Trudi (Bob) Bowser, Roulette, PA, and Tawnee Collins, Bradford, PA, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Greg is survived by his mother-and-father-in-law, Louis and Ellen Valerius, and two brother-in-laws, David Valerius and Dean Good. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on October 15, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 55 North Bennett St., Bradford, PA 16701. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium in DuBois, PA. Memorial donations may be made to the Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene, 569 Forsyth Rd., DuBois, PA 15801.
