Barbara Lee Long, age 92, of Adair passed away at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the Lamoine Retirement Living Center in Macomb.
She was born on May 9, 1929 in Macomb, Illinois to Harley and Mina Sims Graves. She married Robert “Bob” Long on November 8, 1946 in Macomb. He passed away on April 7, 2013.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Lonnie Long and a sister, Joanne Lundgren.
Barb is survived by a daughter in law; Sharon Long of Macomb; granddaughter, Tiffany (Justin) McGlamery; of North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Colby (Morgan) Malone and Camden McGlamery; two great-great-grandson’s, Cooper and Cason Malone; one sister; Shirley Jobe of Macomb, and several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
Barb lived all of her life in McDonough County. She and her husband farmed for many years and were the owners of the Long Grain Bin Company. They had lived in Adair since Bob returned from the service. She was an avid bowler, and occasionally raced stock cars with her dad and husband.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. David Long will officiate. Burial will be in Harris Cemetery west of Table Grove. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
