Betty Fay Taylor Obituary

Betty F. Taylor, 89, of Huron, OH passed away late Monday afternoon, October 4, 2021, at the Parkvue Health Care Center, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
   Born on November 11, 1931, in Lyra, OH (Wheelersburg, OH), the daughter of Edward and Darlene (Roof) Farrell.  She had worked for over 10 years, as a cook, at the Lutheran Memorial Home, before retiring.  Over the years, what she loved to do was to visit the different Casinos to gamble, play Bingo and work on those scratch-off tickets.  Betty also loved to play poker with her family for hours and hours on end. 
   She is survived by two daughters, Wilma Lauber of Huron and Charlotte (Kevin) Taylor of Nashville, TN; her son, Larry (Tenna) Taylor of Sandusky; her granddaughter, Billie Jo (Brian) White of Milan, OH; her 7 grandsons, Todd (Holly) Taylor of Napoleon, OH, Michael (Brittani) Taylor of Union, KY, Mike (Amber) Stephens of Chatham, IL, Chris Taylor of Quincy, IL, Jonathan Taylor, Justin Taylor of Sandusky and Josh Taylor of Florida; 16 great-grandchildren including, Natalie and Nicholas White; her sweet companion , her dog, "Elvis"; her siblings, Barb DePriest and John Farrell of Wheelersburg, OH, Clarence (Pat) Farrell of Jamestown, OH and Juanita "Nita" Brown of Ashland, OH; several nieces and nephews; and her close friend, Hans Olsen of Sandusky.
   Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Charles J. Woods; her second husband, William F. Taylor; a son, Terry A. Taylor; her grandson, Shawn A. Taylor; five sisters, Sharon, Mary Jo, Erma, Jane and Evelyn; three brothers, Donald, Russell and Harold.
   It was her wish to be cremated and no funeral services to be held.  Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her name to Back to the Wild, P.O. Box 423, 4504 Bardshar Road, Castalia, OH 44824 or to the Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, OH 44870.
   Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
