Julie Charlton of Niles passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at 7:01 a.m. She was 70 years old.

She was born in Bagnoli Irpino, Italy on May 3, 1951, the daughter of the late John and Giovonna Vivolo Macchia.

Julie was a 1969 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Following high school, Julie furthered her education at Youngstown Business College and ETI Technical College where she obtained her associates degree in business.

Ms. Charlton was employed for 16 years with the Cleveland Plain Dealer where she delivered newspapers in the Liberty, Hubbard, Brookfield, Masury, & Sharon. Julie retired from an Electrical Connector Company in Orwell, OH.

Preaching the Gospel and reading the bible to others brought Julie happiness and comfort. She would deliver food that she acquired from the food pantry to those in need, she took that opportunity to spread the word of God to all those that would listen. In here spare time she enjoyed watching television especially her favorite show Heart to Heart. She was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.

Julie is survived by 2 sons, Chris Charlton, and Corey (Amy) Charlton; a daughter, Roxanna Sheets; 15 grandchildren, Vincent, Mark, Timothy, Cathy, Owen, Patrick, Weston, Camden, Jaden, Addison, Daniel, Sarah, Kevin Stephanie, and Lane; 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Douglas Charlton.

In addition to her parents, Julie was preceded in death by a son, Shane Charlton; a cousin, Umberto Gatta.

A private graveside service was held at an earlier date. Internment took place in Niles City Cemetery.
