Vivian Sihshu Yenika-Agbaw, 62, of State College and formerly of Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021. Born on May 21, 1959 in Tiko, Cameroon. Vivian was a graduate of the University of Yaounde in Cameroon, received her Masters degree from the University of Connecticut and her Doctorate from Penn State University. She was a professor of Literature & Literacy at Penn State University and had been a longtime professor at Bloomsburg University. Vivian was a member of both Good Shepherd Catholic Church and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in State College. Surviving her are her husband, Steven Ekema Agbaw, her mother, Therese Joy Yenika of Cameroon, 2 sons, Stephen Y. Ekema-Agbaw of Harrisburg, Michael L. Ekema-Agbaw of New York, NY, a daughter, Joy Boudreau and her husband, Tyler of Harrisburg, a grandson, Carter Boudreau, a brother, Eric Yenika of Cameroon and a sister, Muriel Yenika of Adelphi, MD. She was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Yenika. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 16, 2021 in the Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut Street, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg, PA. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday in the funeral home.
