<p>Brian Gerard Marcelino, 65, of Colchester, Vermont passed away unexpectedly in his home due to a preexisting illness. Brian was born in Burlington, Vermont on September 24th, 1956 to Martino and Doris Marcelino (Proulx). Brian graduated Burlington High School in 1974, later attending Sylvania Tech, where he received an Associates degree. After, he kick-started his own business storefront, called Audio Vision. He found new opportunities at IBM, now Global Foundries, as a machine operator. He received additional training throughout his career, which he held for over 35 years as a staff technician in equipment engineering.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Brian relished spending time with family from camping, fishing, to traveling to their family Florida residence. However, he would be at his happiest blasting soft rock in the comfort of his home while puttering with one or many of his projects. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, particularly in the company of his best friend, Rick. He had a love for animals including Atticus, his faithful companion and his late dog, Bear. He was known widely for his wit, quick humor, contagious laugh and mostly, his kindness for others.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Brian was predeceased by his father, Martino Marcelino. He is survived by his mother, Doris, his son Derek and partner, Makayla, his daughter Jamie and partner, Joshua and grandson, Matteo Brian. He leaves behind his brother, Alan and wife, Linda, their children and spouses: Erica and Trevor, Dana and Hilary, Erin and Nick, and several great nieces and nephews. Brian leaves behind the mother of Derek and Jamie, Kelly Marcelino (Rock), to whom they have remained close friends throughout the years. Brian is survived by many dear friends and co-workers, especially his best friend, Richard LaFond.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Following a private family viewing at LaVigne’s Funeral home, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on October 15th at 12pm at Holy Cross Church, in Colchester. Burial will follow. Anyone who wishes to honor Brian’s memory may make a contribution toward Matteo’s college fund via GoFundMe or perform a random act of kindness.</p>
