Helen Mae Cooper

Helen Mae Cooper, 93, of Hampstead, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Long View Health Care Center in Manchester. Born May 10, 1928 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Charles Arthur Martin and Anna Ethel Wolfgang Martin. She was the wife of the late Ernest Grayson Cooper. Mrs. Cooper had worked in the cafeterias of Baltimore and Carroll County schools. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Upperco, the Maryland Travelers Club, and the Gettysburg Antique Car Club. She enjoyed listening to country music. Surviving are her four grandsons, Gregory Cooper of Manchester, Michael Cooper, Rick Cooney, and John Cooney, all of Hanover, PA; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her children, Kenneth L. Cooper and Sharon A. Cooney. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 12, 2021, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Melissa Rudolph officiating. Interment will be in Grace United Methodist Cemetery, Upperco. Memorials are suggested to Grace United Methodist Church, 4618 Black Rock Road, Upperco, MD 21155.
