<p>Rona Lee Hansen, 37, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Provo Regional Hospital in Provo, Utah. She was born on October 31,1983 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Earl Joseph and JoDeene Edrington Hansen. She came to live with Earl and JoDeene when she was 2 1/2 years old. She was a special gift from God to Earl and JoDeene. Rona was Special Needs and because of this she was only able to live in their home for 5 to 6 years. She then lived with a couple of Professional Parent Families for a couple of years before being placed with Shon and Diane Laney and their family in American Fork for 16 years. She was loved and cared for by Shon and Diane, just like one of their own children. She was educated in American Fork Utah until she graduated from High School. In 2007 she was placed in the care of Chrysalis Corporation, a company that takes care of people with disabilities. She lived in a lovely home in Provo Utah until her death in October of 2021. She attended a day program at Turn Community Services from the time she left the Laney home until her death. The wonderful people in Turn and Chrysalis did a wonderful job of taking care of Rona Lee and meeting her needs.</p> <p>Rona Lee was an energetic, loving, expressive, determined young woman and she was happy a great deal of the time. Rona Lee loved hip hop music. She loved it loud and she also loved the Little Mermaid movie and the music in this lovely movie. She loved to ride in the truck with Dad, because she was able to go eat with Dad and get treats.</p> <p>She was loved by everyone that knew her and spent time with her.</p> <p>She is survived by her Dad, Earl J. Hansen, her two brothers and their wives. Brett and Stacey Hansen of American Fork and Joshua and Jennifer Hansen of Provo, Utah, and seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, JoDeene Edrington.</p> <p>Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM on Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Spring Creek South Stake Center, Spring Creek 2&quot; Ward at 350 N 400 E in Springville, Utah with Bishop Jeff Johnston officiating. Friends and family may attend a viewing on Monday morning from 10 -10:45 AM. Burial will be at the Springville, Evergreen Cemetery at 1997 S 400 E in Springville.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
