Obituary

Wayne L Pierson passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at his home after a courageous battle of Cancer.

When he said “That is it”, that was it!  Wayne is off to that great fishing hole in the sky.

Margaret’s Nature Boy was a lover of all things mother nature shared with us; plants, animals, the ocean and the mountains alike.

Wayne left us on October 5th after fearlessly facing cancer head on.  He had an amazing attitude to the end.

Larry and June Pierson welcomed their son in April of 1956.  He has two sisters which he adored, Judy (Marion) Kupitz and Sandie (Doug) Hemingway.  In 1986 Margaret, Coy and Wayne began their adventure together.  Through the 35 years they shared a life filled with love as they played, worked and travelled building new friendships everywhere they went.

Being a nature lover, they enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities like camping, boating, scuba diving and even sky diving.  Wayne always made a point to surrounded himself with plants and natures creatures; bees, fish, chickens, pheasants, dogs and even cats.

As a young man Wayne worked for the Forest Service caring for the precious mountains he loved and helping to fight the fires that threatened to destroy them.  Later moving to Gearhart Industries Wireline Division.  When his friends moved on to strike out on their own, Wayne became a part of the team at Cutter’s Wireline where he had an amazing career as a Wireline Engineer.  He lived and worked on the concept that “we might get you the first job, but you have to go in and sell yourself to get the next one.”   After 33 successful years Wayne retired from the oilfield.  To stay connected with life Wayne took on a new position selling guns with Sportsman’s Warehouse where he was able to get paid doing what he enjoyed most, BS-ing and socializing.  Here he was always making new friends and able to stay in touch with old ones.

Wayne shared a full life filled with love and laughter as he enjoyed time with his son Coy, the grandsons; Aeson, Oliver and Ivan, Lil’ B (the dog), the birds and the bees, riding the Harley, entertaining friends and kicking back with a smooth drink and a good cigar.

We will always remember the love, sense of humor and warm heart as he lives on in all of us.

Wayne REALLY LIVED!

There will be a celebration of life,  as he loved to entertain, the date is pending at this time but will be posted when information is available.
