Jean Carter Walsh

MANNING – Jean Carter Walsh, wife of Charles “Chuck” Michael Walsh, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at her home. Born August 13, 1936, in Florence, she was a daughter of the late Earle Gore Carter and the late Lucille Young Carter. She attended Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 62 years of Manning; two sons, Michael Walsh (Joette Doyle) of Joliet, IL and Christopher Walsh (Candy) of Manning; and three grandchildren, Meghan Walsh of Reno, NV, Erin Walsh of Glen Allen, VA and Ryan Walsh (fiancée, Maddie Henschel) of Nashville, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Misty Walsh; and her sister, Penny Stanton. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Antony Benjamine officiating. Entombment will follow at 2 p.m. at Mepkin Abbey,1098 Mepkin Abbey Road, Moncks Corner. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Stephens Funeral Home.
