Gilberto Gonzalez, 52, of Allentown, passed away Friday, October 1 surrounded by his loving family at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center – Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.  Born on June 3, 1969, he was the son of the late Emiliano Martinez and the late Luz Maria Gonzalez.

He was of the Catholic faith.  He had worked as a fire extinguisher inspector for Kistler O’Brien.  He was a graduate of William Allen High School, Class of 1987.

Surviving are brothers Jose Gonzalez of Allentown, Julio Rodriguez and wife Lisa of Catasauqua, Efrain Rodriguez, Jr. and wife Elena; family in the Allentown-area and also in Puerto Rico; and many co‑workers and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 9 at 10:30am at Boyko Funeral Home, 855 Lehigh Street; Allentown, PA  18103.  A viewing from 8:30am until the time of the service will be held in the funeral home.  Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Allentown.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.boykofuneralhome.com.
