Patricia Jean Green

Patricia Jean “Patti, PJ, Jeannie Moody” Green passed away peacefully at home with family by her side. Patricia was born in Philadelphia, PA to Otis Neal “Chuck” Moody and Mary Emma (Mitchell) Moody. Chuck was a career military officer making Patti an Army brat. She grew up in Japan and Fort Ord, CA. Patti graduated from Monterey High School in 1963 and pursued a professional singing career. Patti decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps as a Registered Nurse, and dedicated her life to helping others. She began by working in Labor and Delivery at CHOMP, Natividad, Silas B Hayes (Fort Ord) and SVMH. After 35 years of delivering babies, she went into Nursing Education and had her own Nursing Registry. She was also a representative for AVON, Mary Kay and Tupperware. In retirement she donated time at the Food Bank and was a member of the Quota Club, Marina Lions Club and Women of the Moose. Patti enjoyed traveling with both her mother and sister on cruises and gambling excursions. Patti was predeceased by her father Chuck, mother Mary and step father Harry Mehrens (WWII Bataan Death March survivor). Patti is survived by Gene Green, her devoted husband of 49 years, her sister Marcia Wheeler, nephews Christopher and Cameron (Karen) Wheeler, two great nieces, and step grandson Larry (Heather) Migano. Per Patti’s wishes, she was cremated and wished no services. In lieu of flowers, if anyone wishes to honor her name, please donate to the Veterans or your favorite charity.
