Tempestt Danielle Gunter 30 years of age passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021, at her residence. All are welcome to join us in celebrating Tempestt’s life, legacy, and love of food, fellowship, and fun at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church. Elder Orville White will officiate. Burial will follow in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation hours will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory. Tempestt was born June 27, 1991, in Arkansas City, KS the only child to the proud parents of Charles and the late Leslyn (Allen) Thompson. Tempestt was educated in Arkansas City school district in Kansas; following in her mother’s footsteps she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Wichita State University. Tempestt affectionately known as “Queen T” and “Boo” was the ‘life of the party’ and there was never a dull moment when she was around. Tempestt’s passion for helping and working with disadvantaged communities led her to a career in Social Work. Her employment at both Salvation Army and Ketch allowed her to further her career in furtherance of her passion. Additionally “Queen T” loved traveling, socializing with family, friends and hanging out with her daddy, she was truly a “daddy’s girl”. Tempestt was preceded in death by her mother Leslyn (Allen) Thompson and her maternal grandparents Buddie and Frankie Allen, her paternal grandparents Marian Wooten and Edward Thompson, her aunt Avis Smith, and her fur baby Kash. Tempestt leaves to cherish her loving memory her dad Charles H. Thompson of Bartlesville, OK, 13 siblings Stacy Simon of Denton TX, E. Charles Thompson of Hampton VA, Lori (Jules) Henricy of Henderson, KY, Sharon Onwuagba of Enid, OK, Marion Thompson of Indianapolis, IN, Evan Harris of Oklahoma City, OK, Yolanda Davis of Indianapolis, IN, Sherman (Amber) Phillips of Enid, OK, Jarrod (Stacey) Thompson of Madisonville, KY, Erica Ledman of Topeka, KS, Alene Thompson of Bartlesville, OK, Chauncey Young of Lansing, MI, Chastity (Willard) McElrath of Bartlesville, OK, and Erma (Jeffrey) Ratliff of Wellington, KS; 4 bonus brothers Tyson Barnes, Kyce Barnes, Freddie Barnes III, and Travis Scott all of Wichita, KS; a bonus sister Brooke Scott of Clarksville, TN; 2 uncles Chris Allen of Arkansas City, AR and Richard Thompson of Bartlesville, OK; 4 aunts Linda Jones, Kandi Thompson of Bartlesville, OK; Brenda Williams of Lansing, MI; Connie Shaw of Kansas City and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews. Tempestt had numerous friends of which several were considered family including Jared Kieffer of Arkansas City; Chakota Sanders of Wichita; and Nicole Morrison of Seattle, WA. A memorial has been established for the Salvation Army. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory.
