William Palmer Pyle, age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 30th, 2021 in Glendale, Arizona, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on June 12th, 1937, in Keokuk, Iowa to William and Cathryn [Johnson] Pyle, and was the oldest of three boys. The family moved to Winnetka, Illinois where Palmer attended, and played football for, New Trier High School. After graduating high school, he continued his education and football career at Michigan State University, before beginning a professional football career in the NFL. Palmer went on to have a successful career in Radio Station Sales and Management, earning him entrance into the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Palmer was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mike and beloved wife, Penny [Eakins]. He is survived by his brother, Harlen (Joanne); five children, Chanynn (Mark), Charity (Carlos), Chelsey, Chad and Chase; seven grandchildren, Mercedes, Carsten, Kennedy, Chloe, Kaiden, Kalista and Max; nieces and nephews, Samantha (George), Cameron, Bryce (Tracy) and Cassie (Kyle).
