Chrisanthi "Chris" T. Georgalos Obituary

Chrisanthi "Chris" T. Georgalos, a lifelong Salinas resident, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 2, 2021 surrounded by her family. She graduated from Salinas High School in 1951. After high school, she worked as a legal secretary until she retired in 1998. She was a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church and the Philopotochos Society. In her retirement years, she spent many hours volunteering at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. Her passion was traveling and she was fortunate to have traveled all over the world experiencing many cultures. She was happiest when she was spending time with her family and friends. She was proceeded in death by her brothers, Themistocles "Tom" and John. She is survived by her 3 nephews and her niece, Tom (Colleen), Simi, Constantine (Michelle), and Peter (Kim) along with 4 great nieces and 2 great nephews. Chris was also blessed to be a Godmother to 14 children. “Aunt Chris” was and amazing woman. We will all truly miss her love, guidance and support. Visitation will be held 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis St. Salinas, Ca. 93906. Trisagion Service will be held at 6:00p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at Struve and Laporte Chapel. Funeral Service will be 11:00a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 326 Park St. Salinas, Ca. 93901. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, The American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
