<p>It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the passing of Cindy Lou Smiley (nee Coles) on Monday, October 4th, 2021 in hospital, Shawville, Quebec in her 59th year. Beloved wife of Mike for 30 years, devoted mother of Ryan (Sarah Graveline) and Cole (Marie Pièr Glaude). Daughter of Velma and the late Harry Coles, predeceased by her sister Joan (Wayne Brown), survived by her brother George (Jean Eckford) and sister Judy (Steve Dobec).</p><p><br></p><p>Cindy will be fondly remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends. For the past 21 years, Cindy considered the staff and students of St-John’s Elementary school in Campbell’s Bay as part of her family. </p><p><br></p><p>Cindy was a community oriented person, very involved in the Radford Church, Shawville 4-H and the Pontiac Agricultural Society. Cindy was a key person when it came to fundraising and organizing.</p><p><br></p><p>The family wishes to thank the ladies of the CLSC and close friends for their dedicated care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shawville 4-H Club or St-John’s Elementary School for the swing set.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A private funeral service will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021.</p>
