Edward J. Campbell

Edward J. Campbell, 84, of Jasper, passed away, Friday, October 1, at his home. He was born October 16, 1936, son of the late Charles Edward and Tabitha McCutcheon Campbell. He graduated Mt. Judea High School and was a 1959 graduate of Arkansas Tech. He was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Harrison, Arkansas and a retired U.S. Army Captain. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Lewell Campbell. He is survived by his wife, Linda Ashmore Campbell; son, Mark and Amy Keener Campbell of Benton; daughter, Amy and Troy Howie of Jasper; grandchildren, David and wife Madison Campbell of El Dorado, Aubrey Rood of Jasper and Jacob Campbell of Benton; and sister, Joyce and Joe Collins of Harrison. Visitation will be held, 9:30-10:30 AM, Tuesday, October 5, at Lemley Chapel. Graveside service with Military Honors and burial will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 5, in Hoskins Cemetery with Luell McCutchen and Robert Hearne officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Pallbearers are David Campbell, Jacob Campbell, Ken Collins, David Collins, Troy Howie and Michael Ashmore.
