Gloria Maria Lowe, Mama to her family, was born on May 20, 1942, in San Juan, Puerto Rico and passed through the gates of heaven on September 24, 2021. Gloria is survived by her loving husband John, son Terry, daughter Pam, grandson Shaun, great-granddaughter Lavinia, and brother Alberto and his wife Idarosa.

Although Gloria’s life was plagued by illness and pain, having survived cancer four times, becoming a recipient of a kidney transplant, and fighting through nameless other ailments, she loved life and never let the pain get in the way from managing her career as a dietitian, being a dedicated mother to her two children, and a loving wife to John of 54 years.

Gloria loved life and never let the pain get in the way from her being a great mom. She never failed to get her children to the years of daily swim practices, instrument and art lessons, soccer and football practices, horseback riding lessons, and a host of many other activities she encouraged her children try and later would enjoy throughout their childhoods.

Gloria was a wonderful cook and baker and somehow, even with her busy life, she always ensured her family was provided three square meals a day, had handmade cakes for birthdays, and home baked tons of mantecaditos cookies for the special moments with friends and family.

Between all the family activities and her career, Gloria never missed spending time with the people she cared about. She made friends with everyone she met and everyone she met came to love her without effort. She loved to talk, read books, watch football and basketball, and had numerous hobbies to fill whatever “extra” time she had. Even after her body insisted, she could no longer do those things, she always found a way.

Gloria’s love for life, her kind spirit, and loving nature has left an immeasurable impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was greatly loved by many and will be deeply missed by all.

Gloria has requested for an intimate funeral and burial. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her final days. For those who knew Gloria in her journey with us, funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday October 7, 2021, at Saint Elizabeth Seton Catholic Parish located at 9728 West Palmeras Drive in Sun City, Arizona. She will be laid to rest at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
