JEFFERSON – On October 3, 2021, Hazel Jeannette (Flynn) Cameron passed away peacefully at her home in Jefferson, NH surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. She was 62 years old. Hazel is survived by her husband and partner of 33 years Bruce Cameron; their daughter and son-in-law, Amelia and Cameron Tyler along with their beloved grandson Ryland Leroy and beloved granddaughter Remington Rose of Northumberland, NH. She is also survived by her siblings Richard Flynn and wife Julie of Gray, ME, sister Sara Hammond and husband Jim, brothers Randy Flynn, Dean Flynn and wife Pattie, Dana Flynn and companion Karen Danforth, David Flynn and wife Joanna all of Lancaster, NH.. Hazel was also especially close to her brother-in-law and sister-in-law David and Patience Cameron of Jefferson, NH. She was very much loved by her numerous nieces and nephews. Hazel was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Priscilla (Thibodeau) Flynn. Hazel was born on September 21, 1959, at Weeks Memorial Hospital in Lancaster. She attended White Mountains Regional High School. In her youth Hazel was an avid swimmer and was highly regarded member of the Col Town Swim Team receiving numerous competitive awards. Hazel also had a passion for cooking and baking and excelled at making and decorating cakes for family and friends. She also enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren. For many years Hazel was employed at Butson’s Supermarket in Lancaster, as the Dairy Manager. She subsequently worked as a para-educator at the Lancaster Elementary School before transitioning to her career as a Bank Teller, first at the Lancaster National Bank and finally, at Passumpsic Savings Bank. Hazel always had a smile for everyone and truly loved working with the public. Hazel was an admired member of the community and of the folks she interacted with at her work at the bank. Memorial visiting hours will be held Saturday afternoon, October 9th, from 4:00 – 6:00PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster.
