Robert Wayne Birch

Robert Wayne Birch 83 a resident of Main Street passed away peacefully at his daughters home on Tuesday September 28, 2021 in the company of his loving family. The son of John and Stella (Day ) Birch and the last of nine children, he was born in Clarksburg, MA on November 30, 1938 . He married Betty Baldwin on August 31, 1957 . For 40 years he had worked for the Town of Readsboro Public Works Department and drove truck for many area trucking business’. He also performed electrical, water and sewer work for the Town of Readsboro and was a very active member of the community. Bob was a member of the Readsboro Fire Department for over 50 years and an active member of the area snowmobile clubs. He was a member of the Springfield Beagle Club where he ran his dogs for sport. In later years he enjoyed bringing his granddaughter to horseshows. He leaves his wife of 64 years Betty Birch, son Robert P. Birch, daughter Kim (George) Bills all of Readsboro and son Mark (Wendy) Birch of Whitingham, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren , nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandson George J Bills, Jr. on July 28, 2016. At Bob’s request there will be no services.
