Wanda Grace Burlot, 76, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away at her home October 3, 2021.
Born in McGrady, NC on April 12, 1945, Wanda was the daughter of the late Raymond and Clyde Brinegar Petty. Her career was concentrated in the retail field, where she worked at the Aberdeen 5 & 10 store, Bata Shoe Company, the PX on APG, and Aberdeen Wal Mart, where she was Department Manager. Wanda loved to shop and shows like the Waltons and Little House on the Prairie reminded her of her North Carolina roots. She prided herself on her impeccably clean apartment, however, she will mostly be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, aunt and friend. She was blessed with many longtime friends and other family members who were near and dear to her heart. If she knew you, you were always in her prayers.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her nieces Karen Brinegar-Price and her husband David, Donna Brinegar and Tessa Sharpe; nephews, Larry Brinegar and his wife Karen, Charles Brinegar, Tim, Clay and Justin Petty, and Eddie Brinegar; stepdaughter Michelle Denise Burlot; and sister in law Mary Franklin Blackburn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Armand “Frenchy” Burlot; her son Tony Ray Burlot; her brothers Leonard and Robert Petty; stepbrothers, William, Van and Wake Brinegar; and her nephew Billy Brinegar.
Services honoring her life will be held at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P.A., 333 S. Parke St., Aberdeen, MD 21001 on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation at the funeral home beginning at 10:00. Burial will follow at Bel Air Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
