<p>Lois Joan Lamp, 87, of Charlotte, Iowa, passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Westwing Place, DeWitt.</p> <p>Lois was born August 14, 1934, to Floyd and Margery (Slapnicka) Smith in Clinton, Iowa. She graduated from Elvira public school in 1953. Lois married Henry Lamp on August 23, 1953, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte. The couple resided in rural Charlotte, where they farmed and raised 4 children. Lois also worked as a teacher&#39;s aide, a meal site coordinator, and a health care aid in senior care for many years. Henry preceded her in death on December 19, 2006.</p> <p>She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte, where she served in the ladies&rsquo; aid, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday School. Lois loved to be outside, gardening and doing yardwork. She also enjoyed reading, playing the piano, singing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a gifted caregiver of various elderly family members.</p> <p>She is survived by her children Peter and Jane Lamp of Charlotte, Paula and John Bryant of Eldridge, Penny Lamp of Arlington, Texas, and Perry and Darlene Lamp of Charlotte; grandchildren, Jennifer, Hannah, Aaron, Avery, Beth, Garrett and Holly; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Huntley; nieces and nephews.</p> <p>In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Maxine (Robert) Goddard and Marian (Donald) Paasch, a granddaughter, Shelby Bryant and grandson, Jamie Lamp.</p> <p>A private service for immediate family will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt.
