Stephen Lee “Steve” Sharpe, Sr., 61 of Prince George, passed away after his long battle with cancer that he finally won, Friday, October 1, 2021.  He was born June 17, 1960 to the late Thurman Sharpe, Sr. and Kate Stratton. Steve was also preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Marie Bennett.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Wendy Sharpe; three sons, Stephen Sharpe, Jr., Michael Sharpe (Jenna), and Timothy Sharpe; grandson, Caiden Sharpe; one brother, Thurman Sharpe, Jr. (Sharon); two sisters, Sandra Bullard (Kevin) and Cynthia Sharpe; and several loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Steve worked for Asplundh Tree Company for over 40 years. He was an active outdoorsman spending many days fishing and going to the beach.  Steve loved camping with his family when his children were younger.  Everyone who knew Steve will tell you he always had a smile on his face and loved everyone.  He will be truly missed by all who knew him. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, VA, 23805.  With interment to follow at Southlawn Memorial Park, S.
