His Legacy…Richard Earnest Bain, Age 82, passed away September 29, 2021.  He was born on March 23, 1939, in Detroit to Earnest and Ruth (Barret) Bain.  Rich served in the US Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was trained in sonar school.  Richard married the love of his life, Janice Caroline Farris, on December 22, 1979, in Livonia, MI.  Rich retired from Ford Motor Co. as an electrician in 2002.  He was a professional clown and president of the Clown Assoc. at the Villages in Florida.  He will be remembered as a craftsman who could fix anything.  He loved his family, dogs and all animals, hunting and playing golf.   

 

His Family… Rich will be missed by his wife Janice; his children, Kim (Robert) Wadeson, Patrick (Lynn), Robin (Dan) Girard, Phyllis (Dale Martin) Ralph, Leah (Steve) Butcher and Joe Ralph; 11 grandchildren, and 8 Great grandchildren; and his sister, Judy (Conrad) Caris.  He is preceded in death by his son Robert in 2018 and Grandson Danny Girard in 1998.

 

His Farewell… Rich’s family and friends will gather on Sunday, October 3, 2021, from 2 to 6PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Shelters Chapel 250 N. Mill St. Pinckney, MI 48169. His Community Farewell will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 11AM (10AM gathering) at Dexter United Methodist Church 7643 Huron River Drive Dexter, MI 48130.  Pastor Steve Bringardner will serve as celebrant.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Dexter United Methodist Church.   Please leave a message of comfort for Rich's family at 1-877-231-7900, or sign his guestbook at www.borekjennings.com.
