With saddened hearts, the family and friends of Marlene Baumgartner (nee Senft) announce her passing on Monday, September 27, 2021. Marlene was born on December 9, 1937, on the family farm near Lemberg, SK, to Daniel and Katarina Senft (nee Schindel) and was the youngest of 10 siblings. Marlene was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Baumgartner, whom she married in 1966, and they set their home in Melville, SK, where they lived happily together. Marlene is survived by one sister, Gladys Gerle and husband Richard, and sister-in-law Velma Senft, and was predeceased by her other four sisters and four brothers. She will be fondly remembered by a large extended family of numerous nieces and nephews across the country. Marlene had a professional career working with the RCMP at the Melville Detachment, receiving recognition for29 years of service. She spent her last peaceful days with the wonderful staff at St. Paul Lutheran Home in Melville, whom we greatly thank. The celebration of Marlene’s life will take place on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at St. Henry’s Roman Catholic Church, Melville, SK, at 2:00 p.m.
