Walter Page Pyne Obituary

Walter Page Pyne passed away from this life on September 26, 2021 at the age of 74, in his hometown of Hagerstown, Maryland. Born October 23, 1946 to Walter Franklin Pyne and Ethel Grace Pyne (Roth) he was a larger-than-life character to all who knew him. Also known by his call sign WA3EOP, he was a prominent figure and pillar of the Ham Radio community with a vast list of awards and accomplishments. He was a lifetime member of the Antietam Radio Association, and a life-long member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Potomac Lodge #31. He is survived by his daughter Susan Rooney and her husband James Rooney, and grandchildren Bobby Rooney and Sandy Holmes. Page is also survived by his son Joseph Pyne and his wife Lisa Pyne, and grandchildren William Dean and Jamie Dean. The airwaves will never be the same without him.
