Carol Ann Shapiro Parker Obituary

Carol Ann Shapiro Parker, age 69, of Houston, Texas passed away Thursday November 12th, 2015. Born April 19, 1946 in Festus, Missouri she was the daughter of Samuel and Ruth Riff Shapiro. Carol graduated from Waltrip High School, Houston, in 1964 and received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Houston. She was a strong believer in education and never stopped studying and learning about life. She had a great sense of humor and believed that laughter was the best medicine. She loved God and was actively involved in her church and volunteer work to help others. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her long-time companion, LG Clinton III and her three children, Stephanie Parker Hyman and her husband Randall, Troy Parker and his wife Lisa, Lee Parker Carrijo and husband Fred;former spouse, Roy Parker Jr.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ruth Riff Shapiro and her brother, Michael Shapiro. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday November 24th, 2015, at the New Fountain United Methodist Church, 2980 FM 2676, Hondo, Texas. Interment will be at the New Fountain Cemetery. A reception will follow at the New Fountain New Life Center. Pallbearers are Blane Parker, James Randall Hyman, Fred Carrijo, John Riff, Steven Riff and David Hernandez.
