Susan Queen Stamper, beloved wife, mother, and Mimi, of Batesburg-Leesville, passed away at home on September 21st, 2021 at the age of 58.

  Born in Rock Hill, SC she was raised in the Dentsville community of Columbia, SC, she was the only daughter of Ken I. and Ruby Queen. She graduated from the Columbia campus of Midlands Technical College with two associate degrees; one in business accounting and the other in business management. She also graduated from Columbia College with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She was employed by Spherion Temporary Services at Dominion Energy as a book-keeper.  

  She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Rev. Henry Stamper; her children, Corey (Carly) Stamper and Hailey Stamper (and her fiancé, Richard Wright); her grandchildren, Ryland McKelvey and Arlo Stamper; her mother, Ruby Mars Queen, her brothers, Ken C. Queen, Rusty (Terri) Queen, and Tim (Kymbra) Queen;  her aunts, Sandra Williams, Beth Queen and Jackie Holmes.

  She was preceded in death by her father, Ken I. Queen; her uncles, John "Johnny" Williams Sr., Walter Queen, Melvin and Gordon Mars; her paternal grandparents, J.D. & Avie Queen; and her maternal grandparents, Jacob "Jake" & Thelma Mars.

  She enjoyed crafts, cooking, singing, taking mission trips overseas to Moldova, decorating for holidays -especially Christmas-, collecting Precious Moments and spending time with her family as 'Mom' and 'Mimi.' She also loved taking care of her "bonus family" which consisted of Beth Greer, Bobbie Keith aka "Momma Duck"; and her add-on kids Michelle Moore, Christina Coley, and Parker Riddick.  

  Susan will be remembered fondly for her love for her family and friends, her humor, generosity, encouragement and warm hugs which she gave to everyone.

  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Batesburg, 436 West Church Street, Batesburg, SC 29006.  

  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at First Baptist Church Batesburg, Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 4:00 pm. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. prior to the service. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
